We start with a decision someone needs to make
An article should leave you with something you can use: a test, a worksheet, a comparison or a way to check a proposed change. We use public search suggestions and questions from product communities to inform topics. Those signals do not tell us how many people search for a topic or how common a problem is.
Sources have to support the claim beside them
We link product claims to the relevant vendor documentation and identify the version when behavior differs. Vendor documentation tells us what a product documents; it does not prove that it will work in your configuration. Our proposed checks help you test that fit.
Examples and sample calculations are labeled. They are teaching aids, not customer results. We do not invent testimonials, experience, certifications or commercial relationships.
AI assists the research, writing and review
DATUM uses AI tools to help research, draft, edit and check articles. A separate editorial review checks factual support, usefulness, overlap and wording before publication. The byline is DATUM; it does not represent a fictitious named expert or a claim that every article has been reviewed by a human specialist.
Tools can miss an error, and a vendor can change a feature after an article is published. For a buying or implementation decision, verify the version, plan and configuration in your own environment.
Corrections belong in the article
Publication dates show when an article is released. When a factual correction or meaningful change is made, the article displays its update date. We keep a record of sources and editorial changes.
If something is wrong or has changed, contact DATUM with the article and the passage. We check the evidence and correct the article when it warrants a change.
Recommendations need clear limits
A product comparison uses the stated version and the decision it is intended to support. It is not a claim that one tool is best for every business. Our operating guides do not replace advice from your legal, tax, accounting or safety professionals.
